TOPIC
5 most-viewed articles of 2024

🔵 1 whole year of sprinting.
Wow, 1 year of articles, or 53 to be specific.
I did some digging yesterday and saw a crazy stat. Last year around this time, we had 181 readers.
Today, that number’s grown to over 3800.
To those of you who are new, we have a tradition where the last email of every year lists the 5 most viewed articles.
You can check out the one I wrote last year here.
The design has come a pretty long way eh?
Anyway, here’s a summary of my five most-read articles of 2024 along with a description and link to each one.
If you resonate with any, click on the respective link to view the full article!
1. This email landed me 3 jobs

Pretty straightforward as the title suggests.
I sent out 1 cold email to a recruiter that resulted in me landing 3 back-to-back internships. My story was even featured on a podcast with 50K subscribers!
You can read it here.
2. The #1 problem with resumes

In this article, I dive into the main issue regarding resumes and why they alone aren’t enough.
It explains where your resume goes after you hit that “submit button.”
You can read it here.
3. WTF is the goal of a coffee chat

We hear all the time that “coffee chatting is important.” But how exactly do you get a job out of it?
In this article, I explain how to approach your 1st coffee chat with someone so that it can turn into a lasting connection.
One that benefits you later down the line.
You can read it here.
4. I interviewed a recruiter!

In this one, I interviewed a former recruiter to understand what they look for when selecting candidates.
It’s jam-packed with secrets and if you ever wonder what recruitment is like through a recruiter’s lens, then this is for you.
You can read it here.
5. Get a copy of my resume

Tbh, I’m not surprised this one got a lot of views - I was doing a 2-week giveaway of my resume.
While that has expired, the article still gives 3 ways to instantly improve your resume!
You can read it here.
Closing Thoughts:
I have some big stuff planned for next year such as:
A new series where I share my LinkedIn growth journey
Two new guides for cold-emailing and coffee chatting
Until then, I wish you a happy holiday!
See you next Tuesday, 2025 🤝
